About Nile & York

Nile & York is a growing family business, run by Simon Greenland and his two children, Amy and Ed. The company was founded by Simon in the 1990s to produce classic, timeless designs that are designed and coloured to work with a wide range of fabrics.

The first range developed from a silk lining printed by Simon for world-renowned interior designer Jane Churchill. From the success of this lining the Small Prints range was created using five designs each printed in the same six colours. Nile & York’s Small Prints collection is now regarded as a classic and contains 78 fabrics, based on nine small designs covering a wide range of design styles.

The Small Prints cotton fabrics have been joined by the Small Linen Prints using a linen/cotton fabric woven and printed in England. The range comprises 39 fabrics using five original designs created in house by Simon, all designed to coordinate with many interior moods and styles. Also included in the N&Y ranges is the Archive Print collection originally produced in the 90’s for those who want a stronger illustrative look.

In addition to the fabrics, all the ranges are now available as digitally printed wide width wallpapers. We continue to add new colours and designs to all the existing fabric and wallpaper ranges as well as developing new products.

Nile and York have always been committed to supporting the British textile industry. The fabrics are all, and have always been, produced in the UK.
